Prof. Dionysiou was my doctoral advisor and academic father. My academic journey started 20 years ago and ever since I have had his undivided support to all my professional appointments. He would still send me emails about awards, and grant applications, and he would still help me with making connection in both Europe and in the USA. It is very rare to have someone so passionate with his work that also shows great care and interested into his students. You will be greatly missed Prof. Dion.

His commitment to advancing knowledge and science will always be remembered. He was a mentor to many, a true friend, and profoundly dedicated to his family. He will not only be remembered for his professional expertise but also for his warmth and kindness. May you rest in peace, Dion. You will be profoundly missed.
