I met Delroy in the summer of 2017 when he joined our team in Sheffield as a Pensions Systems Analyst. We worked together on the same project for more than two years and always kept in touch after that, even when we moved to remote working. I will always remember him as very kind, polite, friendly and funny. When things on our project got stressful he kept calm and maintained a positive attitude - I was so grateful for his support. We laughed a lot too because when Delroy laughed everyone laughed with him.
I have fond memories of the recipes, cooking advice and the food he brought into the office - chicken, his special lasagne, and the Jamaican fruit cake which became legendary in my family.
I am grateful to have met and worked with Delroy and will miss him very much, particularly his upbeat daily greeting "Good Day Lady Furbank!"
