My deepest condolences to Dave's family and to the much, much larger IRD family for whom I know this is also an unspeakable loss. I worked for the Institute for almost 8 years (primarily in Chicago), as a teacher, a teacher supervisor and curriculum writer. My direct contact with Dave was minimal but, as others have said (and will continue to say), his influence on what we did every day was as palpable as Paul's. I'm so grateful to have been part of (and shaped by) the world and the work he helped create. And so sorry for his loss.
