A Tribute to David Lertzman, aka David Adam
David Lertzman died in a bear attack near his home in Alberta, Canada on May 4, 2021. We will do a special memorial for him at the July Fairy & Human Relations Congress.
David is one of the most loved people at the Fairy & Human Relations Congress and is also loved by thousands of other people whose lives he touched. His students at the University of Calgary, his many friends from First Nations people, his family and many others. Our hearts go out to his family, wife and two young children. The children made sterling appearances at the concert he gave at our January on-line Fairy & Human Relations Congress.
David has been a presenter and bard at the Fairy Congress for years. Always upbeat and fun, yet deep and respectful of everyone. He is one of the best male role models I have ever met and the young people flocked to him. Such a fine example of intertwining masculine and feminine qualities.
David came up with this tune and chant at one of the Fairy Congress Saturday Rituals.
West the Undines
North the Gnomes
East the Sylphs, and
South Salamanders
I had just sung that chant and was deeply connected to those fairy realms when I heard that something had happened to David. I was immediately overwhelmed with deep grief and knew that it came not only from me but also from the fairy realms who also grieve his passing. He may still be accessible to them in their realms but now he won’t be working on the physical Earth plane for them. Many ceremonies for David will be performed on both sides of the veil. Many tears will be spilt.
We wish you well, David, and know that many Spirits are with you.
Our hearts go out to you.
God bless. Goddess bless.
So be it.
