Only a couple of days ago, I was sharing the wonderful illuminating experiences I had in David Lertzman's Ecology & Sustainable Development class 4 years ago. It is a shock to hear of his passing! I have fond memories of him, his energy and passion to share all that he knew in every individual class. They were engaging and fun! I looked forward to them! Mr. Lertzman was one of those professors that you encounter in your academic journey where what they teach you always stay with you. He was able to pass on his love and knowledge of the Indigenous people of Canada and their land where we reside. I will forever be grateful to him for all that I learnt. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time. I'm so sorry for your loss.
