I worked closely with Darlington delivering fluid mechanics at Coventry University. Darlington was an absolute rock, an always dependable and charismatic foundation to the modules that we delivered. He was always pleasant, always smiling and friendly. We couldn't have done it without him, and his students absolutely loved him. I am so sad to hear that he has passed so young, with so many good things ahead of him, and I wish to convey my condolences to his family and friends. He will be sorely missed, may he rest in peace. x
