The word at Carmo’s funeral that kept cropping up was “energy” and I think it perfectly describes him. He’s the type of guy that when you were around, you couldn’t help but try to match his energy and so you left him always feeling awakened and ready to fight the day.
We originally met at Sean Sammon’s 21st in Canberra all those years ago. He made a great impact on us all as part of the “Melbourne crew” evidenced by how many of us attended his live stream memorial in Sydney. In the last few years our friendship transferred from squash friends to “business friends”, where we would often meet to discuss his business and mine. He was always introducing me to his clients and trying to find mutual benefits to both parties. In our last conversations we planned to meet and do “pram wheelies” with Abbey and my toddler (his words not mine!)
Rest peacefully Carmo, you will be missed by many.
