I was deeply saddened to hear of Dan's passing and pass on my condolences to Ciara, Abbey as well as Dan's wider family and friends. I was fortunate enough to work with Dan during his time at Goldman Sachs and subsequently at Woolworths. In addition to his dedication, diligence and wise counsel, Dan brought an unfailingly positive demeanour and energy to the workplace. Everyone he encountered was struck by his genuine and kind-hearted character. But Dan was more than a colleague, he was also a true friend. I particularly recall catching up with Dan in the MCC members for a pre-game beer ahead of the 2014 Hawks vs Swans AFL Grand Final. Although a staunch Tigers man, I recall we shared our thoughts and hopes for the game as well as a sense of anticipation and excitement for a day we both loved. I will always remember that day with great fondness and will miss him greatly.
