Dave Couture

January 16, 1976 - October 3, 2016

Dave Couture died suddenly October 3rd in his second city of Los Angeles. Dave will be remembered as a son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend to countless others. His laugh was as genuine as his smile and he considered himself equal parts NH, NC and CA. He loved sports, specifically the Minnesota Vikings, Boston Red Sox and Bruins, and his NCSU Wolfpack. Dave was quickly liked by people he met--but his true friendships ran especially deep. With a quick wit and the ability to make us all chuckle, he will be greatly missed. From his made-up words (cher-nasty) to his bendy hugs to his impassioned rants--Dave was full of passion for things that mattered to him. He had a soft spot for animals--and kids, who loved his goofy but protective demeanor. Dave had a strong sense of right and wrong and when combined with his intense work ethic, he would do whatever it took to get something done the right way. We hope that sharing great memories, picture and videos of Dave on this website will help us all remember his spirit and all the fun that surrounded him.

Dave was my right hand man for six years and six projects. He was a person pleaser who went out of his way to make everyone happy, even when he didn't have to. He knew more people at 20th Century Fox then I'd ever thought possible. We'd walk across the lot and from around every corner I'd hear "hi Dave...hey Dave...yo Couture" from the head of Creative Development at Fox to the uniformed security guards. Who was that I say, or isn't that so and so, and how the heck do all of these people know you? He'd laugh…shrug his shoulders and would move on with those long legs of his, as if if was no big deal. I use to joke that he was the unofficial Mayor of Fox, but it was true...everyone knew and loved him! I might have been the boss but he was my man on the ground, and he would regularly challenge you to think harder and accomplish tasks better. He could and would do anything for just about anyone. He was a one man band that wanted to do things his way or not at all; lucky for me he could fix just about everything he got his hands on. He helped me every day...i wish I could have helped him as well.
