HM Queen Elizabeth II

April 21, 1926 - September 8, 2022

As a family of Scouts, we are united in sorrow for the loss of our Patron, HM The Queen. She leaves a bright legacy of hope and promise for future generations. Together, we will honour her memory. We will remember her and give thanks for her kindness, her service, and the unwavering support she showed our movement over many decades. She was truly a friend to Scouts everywhere.

It was my honour to serve you at Buckingham Palace and then, his Royal Highness Prince Charles at Kensington Palace for 6 years. You will always be my Queen as you have been for all my life. Please enjoy a very well earnt rest after your life of service. You were and are a shining example of how we should strive to be. I am sorry for how intrusive the papers were in the name of public interest and how difficult it made your families lives. Rest in peace Ma'am.

My condolences for the loss of the Queen, who I was lucky enough to meet briefly. A lovely lady with a warm smile. After your long years of service to all, including Scouting, may you Rest in Peace.
