Dear Mrs Bankole as I humbly addresses you ! You were my 1st close loss in my 20years post qualification as a medical practitioner/Consultant. One of the grace and Covenants the Lord made with on my graduation day was that of Healing and bringing the death back to life. I had numerous testimonies this both within and outside RCCG, Believers and Unbelievers alike. When I was called to see you, despite seeing the full blown features of "Terminal" (as we describe death in my profession), I kept my fear remembering the Covenant. The 1st thing I did was to pray and anoint you in the name of the Lord (James 5:14-15) as I have always do, then proceed to Medicine with all my concerned colleagues/Connections. The seven days of my struggling for your life was hectic as most contacts were made by phone. We thank God all called responded and acted as though I was with you. This included personal intercessions and prayers of faith. You brought hope initially and I believed, thanking God, until your son held on me to come and see you as you have to be admitted and stabilised before commencing our definitive treatment. Seeing you 14hrs before your death was normal to me, you spoke well, answered all questions and to CROWN it all you were not in any complications which was our solace with my junior colleague on duty that night. In my usual self we prayed again, anointing you in the name of the lord, and you were more hopeful/responsive this time around, as you joined in the prayers with loud AMEN ! This gave you a great calm as you slept off after I left the hospital (as I was told). The Lord was not yet done with you as he mandated me to keep the night for with your son. I quickly called Seyi saying"we are praying through 1am tonight for your mum" thus saith the Lord ! We did and on rounding up I was hopeful of a great news of you rising and walking around ready for discharge the following morning. But the contrary news came. What a shock at the close of service ! My question to God was why did you disappoint me on Mrs Bankole but he told me "I didn't, I DID THE BEST FOR HER" Can't you see she was more alive and responsive to your prayers last night, this is the best time for her to come home if you don't want her to miss it " ! I believe you Lord as we take solace in your word of giving us an expected end. My greatest prayer for Seyi, your only child that stood by you more than four children, even older than him could, is that he will never have any reason in life to say " I WISH MY MUM WAS ALIVE". He is indeed a wonderful child ! . The good lord will comfort your parents and siblings and most importantly CRNPS were you worked and was known as a true lover of God, your job and all the children you nurtured. ADIEU Mrs Bankole, see you on the resurrection morning
