My sincere condolences to Charmain’s family and close friends. Knowing her for over thirty years as colleague and line manager, I can only echo what others have said. She was a thoroughly decent human being, who stood firm for the people she worked so hard for. Her sense of personhood was a privilege to be around and from which I learnt so much.
