Very sad to learn about the passing of OM Chandru. Of the few times we have met, my most memorable time with him was when I had the opportunity to spend several days, including the long road trip to Gujurat, during relief operation after the Earthquake in 2001. I have learned lot of things from him outside hamming - our journey, which is still the longest ever for me by road even after 20 years is most memorable. He taught me how to drive on highways! I was just a novice driver then, but he still gave me the wheels of his new Toyota Qualis every couple of hours during the journey! A fantastically adventurous, extremely helpful and fun-to-be-with OM! Praying for his peace and heartfelt condolences to all his near and dear ones! We'll miss you Chandru! de VU2SBJ, Sri, Manipal
