A sad loss to the Indian HAM fraternity.
A fine human being and a very widely travelled person with plenty of interesting stories to share. I met Chandru in the late eighties while doing an internship in Bangalore after my college education. HAM radio was what brought us together but his many stories and passion for travel in his car around the country was something that i looked forward to talking with him. At that time I did not have a HF rig in bangalore and Chandru was kind enough to let me use his station whenever i wanted. On one of those visits my motorcycle was stolen outside his house and he helped me make the necessary police complaints etc. A couple of months ago he visited Chennai for a lodge meeting and I attempted to meet him at his hotel but unfortunately our schedules did not coincide and we agreed to meet on his next visit. Tragic that there will not be another visit. We will miss you Chandru. Rest in peace.
