Who even knew that Catalin was the school's unofficial music technician? He was so patient and meticulous he could remove lost spikes and other items from inside 'cellos, tighten snares on drums and make bespoke instrument trolleys. He was a reluctant guitarist and in the end I never heard him play. I will remember him most when in a mountain cabana - this is where I felt I got to know him the most; after a long hike, in the company of friends with music and good food. Sincere condolences to his family and his many friends who will miss him. He has made a lasting and postitive imprint on the world.
