This memory always makes me laugh: When we surprised Caroline and Sol with the news that we were pregnant with our first, she nearly tripped and fell flat on her face with excitement. Luckily, Matt and I caught her before she tumbled and we all cracked up as we headed into the restaurant to celebrate the good news. I always loved her connection with our daughter Zoey. She would sit for hours and paint with her and have the funniest conversations. And she would *always* bring her a beaded necklace or brooch from her costume jewelry box for Zoey to add to her Fancy Nancy dress-up collection. I wish she could have been a part of Eloise's life, too. I remember being so nervous to meet Caroline for the first time when Matt introduced me 11 years ago. But she was sweet and funny, and welcomed me into the family with open arms. I will miss her.
