Carl Storr

December 26, 1963 - June 3, 2020

Carl was a gentle man. He spoke sparingly but with wisdom and humour which endeared him to many of us. Although his wisdom was slightly more questionable when it came to football, (him being an Arsenal fan and all) and American Football (Miami Dolphins) sport brought him great pleasure. In a purely watching capacity! He travelled through life with a wonderful balance of kindness, calmness and a level of contentedness that many of us envied. Sadly, after a 37 year career in the Civil Service Carl passed suddenly last week. Given the man that he was, many of you will want to leave your thoughts, pictures and condolences here for his family to see. We are grateful for the time we spent with Carl and will miss him greatly.

I work at RAF Lakenheath and Carl was my Commercial point of contact. The majority of my contact with Carl was through email and telephone (and Skype more recently). I always found Carl to be such a pleasure to talk to and always very level headed. He always seemed so calm and often I would feel more calm for having talked to Carl. He will be missed on both a personal and professional level. I hope your family can take comfort from knowing how well thought of Carl was by his colleagues.
