Bryan was one of my closest friends both professionally and personally for over a decade. During that time, we have often spoken daily one way or another. Sometimes that was to just talk about our work day. Other times it was a quick text on a weekend to joke around. Life is full of ups and downs and Bryan was there for me in my darkest moments, as well as to celebrate life’s special moments. Bryan and I met while PSVs at Royal Canin. We quickly became friends. Later, Bryan and I would learn to become Regional Sales Managers together. For a brief time Bryan went off to Bayer while I formed a start up. As fate would have it, I would ask Bryan to be a professional reference for me for IDEXX. I got the job! About a month later Bryan joined IDEXX as well. Bryan was a very special person to me. He was always selfless and placed others needs before his own. He was somebody you could trust. He cared deeply about seeing others succeed and rooted for them. He loved IDEXX and the people he worked with. In 2015, when Bryan and I started at IDEXX we had our first sales summit in Chicago. After a very long day of presenting and a dinner, he and I would visit a close friend about 45 minutes away by taxi who had colon cancer. I asked Bryan if he wanted to still go since it was late at night and he was unwavering in stating the support we needed to show our friend nearly 9 PM at night when we got in that cab. That’s the kind of guy Bryan was. Bryan also had a wicked sense of humor. I use to love the banter with him. Just thinking of it now brings a smile to my face! From making fun of each others paintings to him always teasing me about the fish that “got away”. Bryan was absolutely the funniest guy I know. From dressing up at Arizona meeting for the road race to taping the white board to his shirt instead of the wall. Man, he would make me smile and laugh. I miss Bryan so very much! I miss talking to him. I miss joking around with him. I miss hearing his perspective on things. I miss our friendship. I will forever be grateful that Bryan and I’s lives crossed paths. Rest In Peace my dear friend! I will miss you brother! - Dan
