Brenda Lehmann-Taffe

August 6, 1944 - September 13, 2017

Brenda Carol Lehmann-Taffe, 73, passed away on September 13, 2017, in Olney, MD. Brenda was born in Port Chester, New York to Willenette Rollinson and Edward Davis on August 6, 1944. She went to high school at New Paltz Senior High and went on to earn a certificate in Licensed Practical Nursing from Albany School of Nursing. She was a hard-working individual who found nursing as a personal reward for over 50 years. Brenda also had a love for a variety of music, dancing, crafts, decorating and antiques. She enjoyed singing and loved to perform. When Brenda was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2012, she remained dedicated to her work and in her will to fight her illness. She remained a brave, iron-willed woman, even throughout her final days with family and friends. Overall, Brenda’s abiding love in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace. Brenda is preceded in death by her father, Edward Davis and her mother, Willenette Rollinson. Brenda is survived by her children, Sean and Timothy Lehmann-Taffe; grandchildren, Maddison, Noah, and Jordan; as well as her brothers, Edward and Herbert Lehmann; nieces and nephews Greg, Kimberly, Pamela, Ed, Brent, Regina; and great-nieces and great-nephews DJ, Amaya, Eva, Ava, Addison and Jayden.

Brenda was an absolutely wonderful human being. May she rest in Eternal Peace. It was privilege to know here, especially for those of us who went to New Paltz High School with her back in the days of our fun teenage years filled with music and camaraderie. Condolences to the entire family. Respectfully, Donald Abrams
