I will never forget Bernadette making me feel so welcome at Hackney back in 2018 when I first worked for the Council; despite my only being a temporary addition, she went out of her way to help me find my feet and answer the never ending questions that I had and always with a beaming smile on her face. Nothing changed when I returned in 2020. My most abiding memories will be her reaction to discovering the goodies that Dawn and I had secretly stashed away as well as our discussions around which sweets were actually the best - we at least agreed that sherbet lemons should be in the top 3! My heartfelt condolences to all of Bernadette's family; our loss is huge, but yours is incalculable. Rest in peace Bernadette.
