I recall with admiration the online meeting of the Ukrainian Mission with Mr. Benjamin B. Ferencz in 2022. I also referred to his wisdom and demonstrated a short video with his words during my statement before the adoption of the UNGA resolution “Aggression against Ukraine” on 2 March 2022. I am sure this reference helped many in the General Assembly Hall to make the right choice and his call to “never give up” continues to inspire us in seeking for justice.
I am confident that Mr. Benjamin B. Ferencz’s legacy along with his well-known motto “law not war” will be a continuing guidance for the current and future generations.
