I learnt a lot from and thoroughly enjoyed working for Barry as a young economist at DH in 2009 and CHSEO in 2011/2012. I later heard that he was involved in setting up the Royal Economic Society event where I first heard more about becoming a civil service economist. I am sad and shocked that he has suddenly passed away and will greatly miss catching up with him.
