It is shocking to know that Barrister Emmanuel Akpologun is no more with us at this time. He was like a father to me. The only few men who counselled me in life like a father would do. I can never forget late nights together in the family residence 10 years ago, he would tell me stories of exploits in God's kingdom and experience in the legal profession especially fighting injustice in UNIBEN then we will move to life generally. He gave me life counsels that I still cherish till today. Even though I got to know Pa Akpologun through CACYOF UNIBEN as the pioneer member and also through his first son Samuel who shares a bond of friend with me like no other, Pa Akpologun became like a father to me. My only regret is that I had no chance to speak with him again for awhile before his departure to glory. But I have this confidence that he has gone to be with the Lord. So we mourn not as the world mourns.
My prayers are with the family members who have become my family too and also the entire CACYOF UNIBEN both the present and past this time of grief. Barrister Emmanuel Akpologun has left a shoe in CACYOF UNIBEN that no one can fill and we will greatly miss him.
Till we meet again Barrister Emmanuel Akpologun, a faithful servant of Christ, husband, father, mentor and a great lawyer.
Adieu!!!
