I met Andy when I was a naive 19 year old coming to the big smoke from a little country town to work with him at Myer. Our friendship has continued for 41 years.
He was such a patient man towards me .. once or twice in that first week getting lost in the new Mall and not being able to find my way back into Myer. I even would get lost in the 3 level shop and after a phone call he would come and find me and take me back to our display room.
I loved his humilty, selfishness, his humour and he had the best taste in music. He told the best stories, was brilliant at backgammon, he told it how it was - no fluff. He was my big brother in a way - taking me under his wing and offering his shoulder for many tears from me. I will miss you Andy, I really will. You were the best! I send my condolences to Jamie, Katherine and families. Toni xxx
