I’m struggling to put into words what I want I say, lump in my throat and crying again as cannot get my head around this.
Andrew is truly one of the nicest, genuine people you could ever meet and spending more than 8 hours a day with Andrew for nearly 12 years certainly made for an interesting work life. So many happy memories during that time, his contagious smile, funny stories, jokes and how he would make us laugh by not even trying.
One of the many memories was his face light up when he opened his birthday present to find he was going to be able to drive a bus and the pictures he showed us after with a cat that got the cream look, is certainly one of the top.
The thought of going back to the office and not hear you talk/moan about Arsenal, I’m sure it was mainly moan as they kept losing? To not be able to go to the birthday drinks we were going to organise when we got back, to not be able to tell you to tidy your desk as there are crumbs everywhere, to not be able to just talk to you because I can, to not be able to hear your stories of your boys or Melanie, your great social life and mother in-law, to not be able to say morning or see your smiling face every day, to not be able to just listen to you in the background, as you know I always did, to not be able to meet up at lunch as we were planning…does not make for a place I want to go back to.
Everyone needs an Andrew in their life, I will miss you so much and am so grateful to have had you in my life, I am just sorry it wasn’t longer.
My sincere condolences to Melanie, Marc and Ryan.
