Andrew Alicoon

March 31, 1963 - April 10, 2020

Andrew was a family man first and everything else second. He was a true gent, always happy, always proud and always prepared to help others in need. Andrew was loved and liked by everyone around him in his personal and professional life and Andrew genuinely liked everyone back. Andrew had three passions in his life, his wife, his boys and his beloved Arsenal. Never happier on a Monday morning than when the Gunners had taken three points on a Saturday and Tottenham had lost. A beloved colleague to many and someone who will be sorely missed by all who knew him. The world is a worse place for it’s loss.

I will never forget AAA (he loved that logon as it was easy to enter on the photocopier!) - "top of the top" as my mother would say. Such a lovely, funny, kind and considerate man to work alongside with. Always wanted to be the one to buy lunch if we went to a meeting together - old fashioned in a truly gentlemanly way. I first met Andrew when he worked for the Sun Alliance, too many years ago to want to remember exactly. He still answered the phone the same way then as he did last time in the office - always consistent. And the "Fine, You?" response, which always made me smile. I especially liked the way Andrew took on the organisation of the team Christmas breakfast - and his enjoyment in winding a few of us up by suggesting Simpsons again. He loved to be at the centre of things and could really laugh at himself - a brilliant trait to have if you want to work in the insurance market. It is so sad he found working with us so stressful in the end - and we were all very sad to think he would be leaving us but could understand his reasons. Never thought he would be leaving us totally - I had imagined he'd still want to be organising that Christmas breakfast for years to come as a honorary member of the team. Like everyone has said, he could talk for England and we heard all about the important things in life - Melanie and his boys. Melanie was even mentioned in the last team talk on the Thursday morning - another funny story from Andrew about his family life. He will be a sorely missed member of Cloud Financial and the Howden family - my condolences to you Melanie, Marc and Ryan. Sorry I never got to meet you. Kerry
