The first time I met Amrapali was at Expat Meet & Greet at Cafe Zuyd in Maastricht. She came here as part of the team for the newborn (at that time) Institute of Data Science. Over the years everyone could see how she truly devoted herself to build up and promote the interdisciplinary community of researchers with the focus on data science. I always saw her as an engaging and encouraging buddy of the community.
When you live abroad it is a treasure to find people who share the same values and attitude and Amrapali was one of those for me. A very supportive friend who always encouraged me to go the extra mile, no matter what!
I love you Amrapalie and you will be deeply missed!
