Allan generously spent his time with my family when we were in Dubai
One of our “Business Lunch Meeting” at PF Chang with Allan. The focus was on lunch as was the case, at that moment no one knows who has got the shortest time on earth. It is true Life is short, but I know that Allan is in a better place, he fought hard and won to Rest In Peace. My deepest condolences to the family and his closest friends, he will be missed x
We have met Allan through our newfound friends at SCB. Friends who together with him, became our family in Dubai when true comrades are hard to come by. Being the rookies in the group, we saw the group’s respect towards him immediately and understood why they call him ‘Kap’. He is game to anything and there was no hobby too out there to try for himself. From Scuba diving, Skiing, to organizing the “Kap’s Bowling Tournament”. He truly was the ultimate game master. At times when things are tough, he was always there to listen and offer sound advice. And like any thoughtful friend, in 2016 he came to visit us. It was so nice to see him then and catch up. Even for a short while. He was a dear friend, a true gentleman, and will surely be missed.
Allan always had time to catch-up with us. Taken in Gerry’s Grill near BPI and PSBank in Dec 2014.

This was taken in July 2019 during Allan’s last visit in the Philippines. We stopped over for breakfast along SLEX on our way to Anilao, Batangas for scuba diving with ex-CTT friends, Manny Veloria and Erwin Galura.
My last few days in Dubai, Allan even hosted a despedida at his place for me and invited almost everyone I knew. I will never forget this. He is always generous with his time with us. This photo is with members of the Filipino Scuba Divers Club in Dubai for which he was President for a year (sorry forgot what year it was). We were all volunteers in this club that promoted scuba diving for everyone, especially Pinoys in the UAE. It gave us all a sense of community as we organized trial dives at the beach, beach cleanups, the Scuba Olympics, international dive trips and many more.
We lived in Dubai for 15 years and Allan was in at least 14 of them. We have grown to love him as part of our family in Dubai. From last minute last full show screenings at the cinema to weekend getaways and adventures, you can count Allan to be there. Here he is with just some of his many friends in Dubai at one of our get-togethers.
Allan has always been with us on our adventures.... from scuba diving in the deep ocean to the mountains of Zermatt, he was there with us. He was game for anything and it was always fun being around him. Here he is with me and my husband Red as we were practicing on the slopes of Ski Dubai.

This was on 17 Nov 2019 in Dubai at Allan place gathering of Ex NBAD colleagues
This was in 2018 when i bumped into Allan in UP Town Center during his vacation in the Phils. We haven’t seen each other in ages and it was a happy reunion even for a short while. Rest in peace, Allan. You are a fighter and the stories you shared during our online get-together last year are so inspiring. Your courage is a gift.
Last ski run with Sir Allan at Ski Dubai I met Sir Allan when I joined SCB Ph. He just became SVC Head. Thereafter, he became acting CCH and OR Head, so I got to work with him. My most memorable moment with him was when he accompanied me to explain to OR how I did a certain program. I was so nervous as I was so young and would be talking to someone senior. But all went well as he was there to support me. Sir allan was an inspiration, especially to bankers here in Dubai, as he made it to the top despite the tough competition and the glass ceiling we have. And I was lucky to have known him, first as a boss and then as a friend in the last 12 years. Sir Allan was a good, thoughtful and generous friend. He was our eldest brother. Our Kap. And he will be missed terribly. Rest in Peace, Sir Allan. Until we meet again.
A kabayan took our photo with Burj Al Arab in the background.
