Al was the sweetest father-in-law a girl could hope to have. He called me his "favorite daughter-in-law" and although the competition was slim (I was his only daughter-in-law), it meant the world to me. He loved treating us—to dinners at Il Mulino in New York City, hamburgers at Hurricane Hank's, and his own grilled salmon, a specialty. Al loved feeding people—I'll always remember him packing picnics for us to eat at the beach. This photo is of one of the last times I spent with him, on his porch at Sunny Bower, together with Steve and our daughter Lily. I loved Al like my own Dad and he will always be...my favorite father-in-law. Rest in Peace, Grandpa Al.
