I had the good fortune to work with Alastair at LCH. Funny and very sharp - not much got past him. He was forthright, passionate and suffered no nonsense. By example, he encouraged us to raise the bar; to believe in, and expect more of ourselves. To his family, I send my sincere condolences, and thanks for sharing a remarkable guy with many grateful colleagues.
