Alan Campbell

May 16, 1949 - July 18, 2021

Alan Campbell, founder of Campbell's College was a man who cared deeply about his family, his employees and his students. He will be greatly missed, not only by those close to him but also by those in the Governance and Company Secretarial fields who benefited from his knowledge and unique teaching ethos. Alan had a curiosity about the world, culture and people and the ability to listen as well as to teach. We hope you will use this space to share your memories and anecdotes.

I first met Alan as a lecturer back in the mid-80s on revision courses - Moorgate Poly/Kensington Business School - when I was a wet behind the ears ICSA student studying via distance learning (Rapid Results College) and he was the epitome of what any good lecturer should aspire to be - enthusiastic, encouraging and honest - but most importantly he brought Company Law "alive".... which as any Chartered Secretary will know is a major achievement. Thanks Alan. Tracy Reeder

I’ll always treasure memories of Alan making the whole class including myself laugh during long study sessions. He made missing the London heatwave for taking notes fun! I looked forward to handing in work to Alan as he was so thorough and kind in his response and I loved reading his feedback. He truly was a great person and I continue to carry the motivation he gave his students along with me in my governance career.

I was very sad to hear Alan had passed away. He was a genuinely lovely man and someone who was so passionate about governance and more importantly, helping students through the ICSA examinations. He will be truly missed.
