Tribute to a dedicated man of God - Arc (Deacon) Abiodun Akanni.
The news of the sudden death of Deacon Abiodun Akanni struck me and my family with deep sadness. He was a vibrant, hardworking and anointed man of God.
He was an architect of distinction, that helped to turn around the church building to a befitting edifice to the glory of God Almighty and for the service of man.
He was a great mobilizer and always willing to help anybody that approached him for help. I can never forget some years back when I asked him to please employ my friend’s daughter who just finished her studies as an architect from London and wanted a good firm in Nigeria for work experience. He immediately asked her to resume work in his company before she later decided to remain in London
He was a man with an awesome analytical mind, a man of class & distinction.
Our eyes are filled with tears as we mourn this loss. Such a sad incident confirms the notion that life is a privilege and that this privilege may be withdrawn at anytime. Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour already set a standard and defines the path-way that we are to follow, while we are still breathing.
Deacon Akanni was humble and a great mobilizer of men and materials. An Epitome Of Excellence, and a very compassionate and caring man.
He loved God, his family and friends.
He was such an outstanding person at carrying out God’s assignments to the best of his ability.
Deacon Abiodun Akanni was very fond of my husband. He was an incredible family friend, who inspired everyone he knew.
Deacon Akanni, you were a light to all of us. We will all miss you because we all love you and that love will never die.
Rest in peace our erudite Architect and Deacon in the bosom of the Lord. Till we meet to part no more.......
